Seeking the truth or seeing and acknowledging the bitter truth is not possible for everyone. Although truth always stands out clear from falsehood, it is sometimes covered and hidden. Allaah (SWT) tests us in several ways. He sometimes tests us to see if we seek the truth through prayers or we fall into the traps of falsehood.

“Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.”
[Surah Baqarah: Verse 7]
This seal is definitely the most dreadful thing. It is an obvious sign that a person is walking towards his doom. It is essential that we make a genuine instrospection and save ourselves from this ruin. No matter how firmly we believe in our actions and judgements, it is necessary that we pray and ask Allaah to guide us - for He alone is the All-Knowing and All-Seeing. He knows what you may never know and He sees the unseen which nobody can see. His power and knowledge is the only source to save ourselves from falling into errors and sins. And, that is sought only through patience and prayers.
It is incumbent upon us to strive in the path of righteousness and seek refuge in Allaah from the traps of Shaytan. The path of righteousness is never an easy one. But the traps of Iblees are so cleverly laid that we unknowingly slide into them. And THAT is the real test of a believer.
May Allaah help us in succeeding in the trials of Duniya, save us from the Fire of Jahannum and grant us the Pleasures of Jannah (Ameen).
