Until death causes them to part

Allaah, The Most High, says:

نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
وَ أَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الأَلِيمَ
“Declare (O Muhammad) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most-Merciful.
And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment.”
[Surah Al-Hijr : 49-50]
It is very important not to forget this reminder. Seeking Allaah’s forgiveness is very important. Human is prone to sinning. It is foolish to think that anyone is free from sins. What matters to Allaah is what you do with your sins. Repentance, a sincere one, is what He loves. Repentance is complete in three ways. 1) Promise never to repeat the sin and keep praying to Allaah to keep you away from it. 2) If your sin has violated Huqooq-Ul-Ibaad  then do what you can to compensate the loss. 3) if the sin has hurt another human, then seek his forgiveness while you are still alive. Because unless that person has forgiven you, Allaah (swt) will not accept your repentance.
The accursed devil is always on lookout to sow seeds of discord amongst people. The purest of relationships are affected, hearts are bruised and rights are violated. This happens when we forget to seek the refuge of Allaah from the accursed one and to seek His protection for all the blessings. We forget to seek His forgiveness everyday. The Best of All Creations, Prophet Muhammed (saws) would seek Allaah’s forgiveness 70 times everyday. He was certainly flawless, but he would never say so.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “No one’s deeds will ever admit him to Paradise.” They said, “Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “No, not even me, unless Allah showers me with His Mercy. So try to be near to perfection. And no one should wish for death; he is either doing good so he will do more of that, or he is doing wrong so he may repent.”
[al-Bukhari, Muslim]
Good deeds do not by themselves would cause one to enter Jannah unless the fear and love for Allaah (swt) fills his heart and turns into a longing that makes him beg for Allaah’s mercy indefinitely. Often people think that doing good leads to Jannah and slowly these deeds turn into a heap of Riya because we often forget to pray for their acceptance after doing them
Everything done for the sake of Allaah, however small it is, will definitely be accepted. If you help someone in this world, never remind him of your favour. If there is someone who should know o your good deeds then it’s only Allaah and He has already seen it for nothing escapes His knowledge. In fact, nothing happens without His decree. He blessed you with an opportunity to perform an act of goodness. How you utilise that opportunity is what would matter at the end. It should be sincerely done for Allaah’s pleasure with a hope for its acceptance and Allaah’s Mercy, coupled with the fear of His punishment. Let Allaah know in your sujood that your action was for His pleasure alone and beg Him to accept it.

For a believer, this world is an opportunity to become dearer and closer to Allaah. To cleanse himself from the sins through sincere repentance and have them forgiven and erased through Allaah’s Mercy. To add to the scale of his accepted good deeds. To regret, repent and redo what he can. So, no matter how difficult life gets, never wish to leave this world. This world is an opportunity to gain Jannah till the last breath of a believer. Until death causes them to part.
