Amidst the pain, fear and solitude 

When I lay down tired and confused 

Thank You Allaah for those shiny eyes 

Thank You for those words so nice

Thank You for those tickling fingers 

Thank you for all the love that lingers 

Thank You for those smiling teeth 

Thank You for easing my breathe

Thank You for those hugs and promises 

Thank You for comforting goodnight kisses 

Thank You for the strength that I gather 

Thank You, My Lord, for making me his mother
