My heart - I carried you in my womb

Your first movement I recall with gratitude
You responded so aptly to share my solitude
You helped me to overcome my fear
By silently whispering “I am here”

You gave me a purpose to live again
You helped me to smile through the pain
You gave me the strength to bear the unbearable
I learnt through you to believe the unbelievable

The moment I held you in my arms
I was overwhelmed with your charms
Your companionship was our Lord’s perfect plan
Slowly I learnt that the battle just began

In you a warrior, a fighter, a champion I see
To live, to love, to dream a reason I see
 But the place we are living in is a tricky snare
With every new dawn it promises to scare

I see you are growing really fast
I pray never an evil upon you be cast
Know that this world isn’t a safe haven
Stick to the guidance our Lord has given

I have wrapped you in never-ending prayers
I keep adding and adding to those layers
For we have nothing else to reflect
There is no other Mighty power to protect

My love for you would never ever fade
My Duas would remain over you as a shade
Even after I am placed in that underground room
For, my Heart, I carried you lovingly in my womb
