If regret could make me a better soul,

If it could make this empty life whole...

I would regret, if that regret would last,

Like an eraser to wipe out the past.

I would regret if it would somehow heal,

The wounds which are the remnants of that deal..

I would regret if it could remove the scars

To remove the darkness, bring me some stars...

I know, but a distraction it only is,

To distance from me the eternal bliss!

If added to the colors of my life today,

It will prove the darkest ink and make it grey

It is the worst of termites that would eat away

My heart, bit by bit, day after day...

The worst nightmare that would overpower,

The dreams of my future I want to explore..

The pain in my heart is too much to hold in,

But a regret would only help a little more of it pin..

I know my mistakes, which I will not forget,

I learn from them, but I do not regret!
